Wild Colombia
Five Ecosystems of the World's Second Most Biodiverse Country
Join an expedition that redefines travel: 21 days through the five ecosystems of the world's second most biodiverse country. From the páramos of Chingaza and their more than twenty species of hummingbirds to the endless Orinoquía plains, where joropo sounds at sunset. From the blackwater rivers of the Amazon and their pink dolphins to the humpback whales of the Pacific coast of Chocó. Then on to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world's highest coastal mountain range, where the Arhuacos safeguard a worldview that has read the land for millennia. Wild Colombia is an encounter with life in all its forms: the forests, the rivers, and the peoples who inhabit them.

Recommendations
Wild Colombia requires a willingness for field conditions, early mornings and hikes. The optional helicopter extension to Chiribiquete and the Mavecure Hills is the only way to access those territories. We suggest technical clothing for the páramo (cold) and the tropics (heat and humidity), water-resistant field boots, binoculars and photographic equipment, strong insect repellent and a headlamp.
